cool day

Just a random thought: while i was bathing just now, some shampoo flowed down my hair and into my eye! yikes, the shampoo is some mint flavour thingy so my eyes were like.. REFRESHED! burning with clorets.. totally..

Today was a rather nice day. Jonathan came back from the US for some singapore sightseeing, so was rather excited to see him in church today.

First up though, met up with irbeng for breakfast at dhoby xchange.. ka pui! the kaya toast was crap!! haha. its like rocky bread and sugar inside.. so terrible.. anyway just meeting up for breakfast in the early morning feels really good.. i wish i had more of such things.

Then we hopped over to church where i fulfilled my promise to beng to help him set up everything. then lo and behold! at 0940, i saw nana tong come and so i knew jonathan was near.. and suddenly out of the corner, he appeared more magically than david blaine, copperfield, archuleta and cook combined together!

Haha i was quite shocked at first, i imagined him to be slightly, thinner.. hmm. nonetheless, it was great seeing him.

Then after church, we proceeded on to bring him around. first we went to zion food centre.. where he ate the world famous HALLELUJAH CHAR KWAY TEOW made with charismatic cooking. After we went bugis and basically he bought lotsa stuff.

Having said all that, i was thinking how i missed the times when the youths would go out together every saturday night or sunday afternoon. Somehow there would always be activities already planned, like badminton at lavender, or karaoke at someone's house, and somehow everyone would be so super enthu. tsk, but now i guess things aren't the same anymore somehow.. beng and i were saying how long it's been since we last had a church/youth outing.. perhaps over a year, the bowling comp (but i just remembered we had rock climbing). even so rock climbing was disappointing cos everyoen just rushed home after lunch. i mean i wonder sometimes if our work/studies/need for rest/laziness is catching up with our relationships. Sometimes i know i'm guilty as well. Hmm hope this changes soon. Seriously can't wait for church camp!

So determined to re-unite with my guitar later! already thought of 3 songs to learn, hope to be able to play them by the end of next week. totally inspired ~

this weekend wasn't what i expected it to be, all the hype i created myself, might as well have done guard duty.. i hope next weekend will be diff..
