Welcome to Manchester

Well, just read a news report on this beautiful poster which is as huge as a billboard and pasted right outside a busy Manchester shopping centre (waiyip go take a photo for me when u get there!). Even though i'm not a City fan myself, but i hate Man Utd more. Much much more.

Anyway this poster has created some controversy with Sir Alex Ferguson lacking sufficient maturity to actually ignore the taunt of the poster and branding it "arrogant". LOL the man is losing it. He lost his ultimate workhorse Carlos Tevez and is left with a dumb lazy goal-eluding skunk called Dimitar Berbatov. Of course i would be sore and suck my thumb and whine to my mum & the paparazzi at every opportunity i get.

Anyway here's the story behind the poster in a nutshell:

You see, Man City originated in MANCHESTER itself. However, Man Utd came from a small town called STRETFORD which isn't really in Manchester. Of course, the City fans have not hesitated to emphasise on that fact (they don't really have anything else to suan Man Utd about cos they pretty much suck).

So when Tevez moved from the red half to blue half of Manchester, they are pretty much just saying "Ah Tevez ya son of ar gun, previously ya wer' in Stretford with those Man Utd c*nts, and we ol know they ain't fram Manchester, but now ye has finally com to the actual citeh of Manchester. So welcome! make yeself at 'ome, and hap yeself a cuppa tea while ya're at it"

Of course Sir Alex is such a SNAG and actually took offence at that. yeah whatever. Don't you think the poster would be an absolutely BRILLIANT SHIRT DESIGN? Just checked it out and yes they have it on ebay!!! incredible! but they only ship in UK. I must get my hands on it!!

P.S. Sorry Man City Tevez was a great signing but you pretty much blew it when you signed Adebayor.

Hotel California

I remember staying away from this song for a long time due to rumours about it being Satanic. I finally plucked up courage to do some research on it. The lyrics are a little suspect when certain websites actually do make alot of outstanding interpretations towards Satanic themes. Then there's the "play backward and you can hear Satan's voice" thing that i can assure, is absolute rubbish. I have heard it myself and it's quite coincidental but erm, i'm quite sure if u do that for every song, u can find one or two Satanic lines as well. It's all in the mind.

Work of the devil, or not, this song should be appreciated for the musical genius it holds within. The rich melody enriched with cryptic lyrics are so cool that a cool 21 year old like me can appreciate music from 30+ years ago (and isn't mambo music). Check out this live version below. The intro has to be the most incredible and beautiful blend of acoustic guitars ever.

Epic Wimbledon Final

Incredible match of tennis!! Preposterous, scintillating, epic, patrick, incredible, amazing, captivating, heartbreaking, intense, spongebob, marvellous, stupendous, ridiculous, sandy, spectacular!!!

Federer with a truly lucky win, although i don't agree that roddick was the better player. It looked like it was two people truly toe-to-toe and tit-for-tat, equally matched in every way. How roddick held serve for 4 hours was incredible, and when he was finally broken, it was tragic!! His entire final game was lost with semi unforced errors which is so uncharacteristic considering the way he's been playing the last 2 weeks! To see him so distraught at the end simply broke my heart... awwW........ (i sound like a fangirl)

Yeah federer!! 15 grand slams! back to world number 1! would like to see federer win the us open by kicking nadal's butt in the finals! Nadal you chicken!! You skipped wimbledon cos ur such a scaredy cat!

Now the most mind-boggling question: Is Roger Federer the greatest ever tennis player?

Here on muscularglen.blogspot.com, I, the author, seek to give you the best and most accurate answer. Your opinions are strictly limited to the tagboard, or any other form of communication which you usually use to communicate with me.

And now here is the answer.

Answer: No. *GASP, shrieks of disbelief erupt from the centre court crowd*
Reason: If you would so kindly scroll below the tagboard and below my muscular playlist, under the section Archives, click on 2008, and then scroll down to the entry dated 1 October 2008. Ahh.. rings a bell?

There you go, eat that Roger Federer!

P.S. I am planning for my next post to be a simply epic post. Stay tuned. For some clues as to what it is about, simply refer to the string of adjectives at the top of this post and spot the oddities. Goodnight!
